Mrs Molitor came in and worked with the kids one on one to make handprint turkeys and discuss what they are thankful for.
We made slime by mixing water, borax, glue, and food coloring.
We started by stuffing the paper bags with paper. we painted the paper bags orange. We let them dry overnight and the next day we cut out eyes, a nose, and a mouthed and glued them onto our pumpkins.
We started by touching the pumpkin and coming up with adjectives to describe the outside of the pumpkin. Then we made some predictions and studied the pumpkin. We predicted how many lines it had and how many cubes tall it was. We predicted if it would sink or float and then placed it in water to find out. We opened the pumpkin and took turns scooping some seeds out and describing the inside of the pumpkin. Then we got out the clipboards and wrote down our findings.
Our small group lined up along photo cards and took turns hoping from one card to the next and saying the beginning sound of each picture as they hopped. |
Mrs. LucianiWelcome to my page! I've been teaching Kindergarten in Albany for 7 years. I love to take photographs and capture our learning and finally created a place to share it. Enjoy! Archives
