We began our Special Student of the Day today. Every day we will pick a different student to be the Special Student of the Day. We begin by looking at the student's name and counting how many letters and syllables it has. We notice how the first letter begins an uppercase letter. Then we make a bubble map about the student. We take turns interviewing the special student and finding out about them. Then the special student leads us as we cheer their name. We then rewrite the special student's name on a sentence strip, cut it apart, and let the special student put it back together. Finally, we end by creating a book for the special student. We observe the special student and draw a picture of them, making sure to include details. We also make sure to label our drawing with their name.

Mrs. LucianiWelcome to my page! I've been teaching Kindergarten in Albany for 7 years. I love to take photographs and capture our learning and finally created a place to share it. Enjoy! Archives
